I got this for my nephew and when he showed me how the Carnotaurus complements his current collection, I was impressed by the detail and material selection for this particular model. The coloring and fine detail is very good relative to some of the other dinosaurs in his collection, and the selection of materials used is realistic for a toy that&#;s going to be played with often. Some of his other dinosaurs are made of harder, rigid plastic that fatigues after being bent, and discolors and/or cracks. The Carnotaurus is made of a more pliable material that, while not necessarily soft, is more flexible and less prone to damage. Even when features of the Carnotaurus are bent, the paint and details remain intact. Overall, the detail, quality, and durability of the Carnotaurus are excellent.

Of the dinosaurs purchased for my granddaughters birthday, this was the only one I recieved that was of a good size that was worth the cost spent on it. All the others I bought were tiny and over priced. This one had nice details and looked like she would have enjoyed it. Unfortunately I had to return this because I accidentally bought too many gifts and I have to keep it fair. But this will be on my list as a repurchase if she still lives dinosaurs at christmas!
